E-mail guidelines

In the interest of easy and fair processing of your queries and requests, please heed the following recommendations when communicating with us by e-mail:

Always state the relevant number

If you are e-mailing regarding an application, renewal or transaction, please state the relevant reference number/application number in the subject of your message.

The addressee may be absent

In general, e-mail makes for fast and efficient communication. However, the person you wish to contact may be absent from the office. BOIP aims to inform you in such cases as soon as possible. However, if you have not received an answer within a reasonable period of time, please contact the relevant department by telephone.

Submitting requests

Requests relating to the Register (such as applications and requests for modifications and renewals, etc.) may be submitted by attaching the relevant form and sending it by e-mail.

Electronic images of trademarks must be in .jpg, .gif or .png format.

Opening hours

BOIP can provide you with information and details from the Register or take receipt of your trademark and design applications. We are open to the public on the days and hours listed at the top of this page. We are closed on certain public holidays observed in the Benelux countries.
